Myesha M. Collins, USN Veteran, Ordained Minister

Our mission is to mobilize financial, professional, and personal resources to support the development of a women's lifestyle. We believe that if women are empowered with sustainable livelihoods & opportunities to fulfill their potential, plus the capacity and space to make revolutionary choices, then we will have vibrant, healthy & inclusive neighborhoods!

As a teen, I was unable to find encouragement. As a young mother, I lacked training. And, even as an adult it has been difficult to gather the support or skills to allow myself to thrive. Not knowing where to find help, I decided to empower myself. As years passed, I sought spiritual guidance and turned to ministry. Not the religious ministry I was taught, the ministry of love and empowerment, the way it was intended to be. As an ordained minister, I pondered on how I could help women overcome obstacles every woman seems to face. Issues like low self-esteem, abusive relationships, molestation & even rape happen far too common to young girls and a dialogue hasn't been established on a national level. Our organization looks to change the root of female hardship & by doing that, we will turn Blue Girls Gold!
